Q: hi when I was in my early 20's I was diagnosed with herpes simplex 2 - I had a normal first outbreak i.e. sores etc. Now every year or so I don’t get sores at all but i get lots of pain in my genital area only ever on the left hand side and it runs down my left leg. I get electric shot like stabbing pain in my leg and I feel like i have a sore in my vagina but I don’t but it hurts to sit and walk - each time i get the pain it lasts for months and months. I have been to the doctor and gyne who i must say simply can’t work out what is going on. I am on valtrex and many pain killers but I am getting no relief. Any ideas? It is ruining my life!!!
